For performance testing, we used the 45W power profile for the AMD Ryzen 7 6800H when testing the Geekom A6 Mini PC.
For gaming, we tested a couple of the latest and most played esports titles along with a mix of AAA titles at 1080p resolution. The performance was measured between the AMD Radeon 890M, Radeon 780, Radeon 680M, AMD Vega 8, Vega 7, Vega 6, Intel Iris Xe, and Intel Iris Xe-LP integrated graphics.
Following are the power and thermal numbers of the Geekom A6 Mini PC using its default 45W (Performance profile).
The Geekom A6 Mini PC might not be the fastest Mini PC on the market nor does it feature the latest specs but AMD's Ryzen 7 6800H and its RDNA 2 iGPU still offer great performance for budget PC users and the A6 at an sub-$500 US price a very strong option for the masses who want to make full use of their compact office spaces.
The Mini PC is tiny and features a great set of IO capabilities with loads of USB Type-C and Type-A ports, great wired and wireless networking options, and the ability to drive two monitors at once via the HDMI duo. The internals are also solid with nice cooling capabilities as we didn't see the temps exceed 65C even at max load while 1 TB of SSD storage (Gen4) and 32 GB of DDR5 memory are an ample amount for the majority of users. Even the gaming performance of the Radeon 680M remains a strong point with support for FSR 3.1 and Fluid Motion Frames which can deliver smoother gaming performance in the latest titles.
To sweeten the deal, Geekom is hosting a $50 US discount on the A6 Mini PC right now so you can get this tiny little productivity powerhouse for a great price of $449 US.
