Chat about a big church yard sale and garage sale circuits passed around a small group of junk-art artists, fans and friends on First Friday at Lynn Art Gardens. Visitors wound their way around the metal sculptures outdoors and on porches in the garden gallery.
Owner Lynn Palmer dished up a serving of the smoothest homemade hummus, pita chips and salad with herbs and veggies to go with a cold Coca Cola. The bright sun shone off the weathered metal objects, from finished sculptures for sale to piles of materials to be formed in the workshop.

On First Friday in June at Lynn Art Gardens, Corey Pearson rang the bell he welded as art while his daughter Everly Pearson covered her ears at the loud sound. He began found object welding little figures eight years ago and has shown and sold at Lynn Art Gardens since it opened five years ago. His pieces range in price from $8 magnets to $1,200 sculptures and lots priced $50-$100. Recently, he won the Minion character contest with a life size Minion metal fire pit.
A cedar tree in the front yard of Lynn Art Gardens had to come down so it is being carved into a totem pole. Jayden Wright of Montana is using many tools like chainsaws, die grinders, drivels and sketching to complete the piece, which faces Miller Street in Wenatchee. At the top perches an eagle with a fish, and to be added below, more local birds, the owl and blue heron.
Lynn Art Gardens sells stained glass and many other outdoor art pieces. On Friday and Saturday June 13-14 a market will add even more goods to the shop, such as vintage clothes, crochet and reclaimed junk art.
On First Friday of Aug. 1, the theme is Weiner Dogs with the Wenatchee Humane Society. Mike Bills will play music on electric guitar and drum with smooth vocals.
On First Friday Sept. 4, the theme is Fantasy with figures such as wizards, witches, dragons and faeries appearing as art. The three-piece semi-acoustic band Older & Wiser plays hits from across the decades for live music.
Lynn Art Gardens owner Lynn Palmer walks from the covered seating area where people gathered on the First Friday in June along the paths filled with eclectic, beautiful and strange sculpture yard art toward the residential house where she lives alongside the outdoors business.
